Wilson Learning is committed to demonstrating the business impact of the work that we do with you. Therefore, as a value-added service, we will work with you to determine the impact our solution has on your business. Specifically, we will:
Activity
Description
Clarify what change you are looking for
Interview key stakeholders in the effort to define what changes are needed.
For instance, in a sales intervention, we help develop a clear common understanding of what aspects of sales behavior and sales results need to change.
Identify what will indicate that change
We discuss with the change stakeholders what will show them that the intended results are occurring.
For instance, in a sales intervention, we look together at sales reports, win reports, sales meeting data, and/or other sources to clearly identify what 1 or 2 sources of data will indicate success, in your terms.
Document the current status
We agree on a fair reporting period, and request historical data that accurately reflects the situation before the intervention. We also seek to identify other factors that may influence the data, and start to establish “weights” for the other factors (because we know that training isn’t the only change happening in a sales environment, and as honest consultants don’t want to claim more than fair credit)
Evaluating the results
During implementation, we will follow up with participants and their managers to monitor early efforts, document issues that facilitate or hinder successful application, and identify early successes and best practices. We may follow up with short, online surveys, telephone interviews, or other methods as agreed.
We will monitor the numbers with you. If the results aren’t as expected, we will conduct a quick survey of participants to discover what’s hindering them, report the results back to you, and (if desired) meet with you to discuss next steps.
Reporting the results
4-8 weeks after implementation begins, we will report early results and progress to you, including the end-of-course evaluations, facilitator observations, follow-up summaries, early successes or best practices, and any factors that are helping or hindering implementation success.
3-5 months after implementation begins, we will prepare and deliver an Executive Summary of group-level results and observed change in both skills and the identified business results. We will also account for other factors that might have affected the results.
